Ha ! back after another era.. wasnt really busy but dunno why i did not come back here.. guess i was in more of chattering than thinking (quite unusual of me though !! am more of a listenerz!)

Got quite a few surprises off late.. ppl likin my blog.. huh !? i mean whats here is just me thinkin aloud.. most of it affected by the way how my days hav been going .. neways.. those ppl are my friends.. so i guess i know the answer ;-) Thnx buddies.. kinda need that appreciation at times to move ahead ! :-)
What was i talking about all this while when i was away .. mmmm....... almost everything under the sun... ppl, rains, delhi, office and LIFE (ah ! there s always a lot to talk abt this one !!)...
Ok.. One of the numerous converstaions that I had .. .. a long interesting discussion with a friend on "why ppl eat chicken" (background info : am a veg and my friend an all-meal chicken lover... guess u know how it must have all started !) Well... lot of things came up... y kill a life just for eating smth tasty .. to .. the employemnt it provides to ppl.. with breeding business nd all.. to health rasons, and the food chain.. blah blah !! The outcome was a deuce .. it went over a series of Adv me , Adv him... and ended as a draw when he got off the bus ! (thankfully ! ;-) )
So what do you think .. chicken or no chicken ? forget the taste.. and justify.. whats good !? i know what i am gonna get from chicken lovers .. but be rational and kind(esp to animals ! ) and humane before u say anything ;-)

people whats the difference b/w eating chicken and eating onion/potato etc.both are living beings and both are killed by humans to survive.just because chicken screams and onions dont does not mean one is bad and other is not !!

what is the diff between eating an animal and eating a plant? both are bread to be fed to ppl....only diff being plants are mute and immobile....so by tht logic is it better to kill sum1 who is parallysed than someone who is completely "functional"?

See the point is .. humans arent made to eat chicken/meat.. had they been, they would have had large canines like the carnivorous to eat which help in tearing the meat apart !
and whats the point of killing somethig thats screaming for life.. just becoz u love to eat it !!
I feel that a diet without chicken is almost like saying a balanced diet is abt holding a cookie in each hand. ;-)) ppl have no qualms in having eggs but eating chicken is a no-no. Besides, chicken req. no maintenance while with crops/grains its so much more different. Talking of humanitarian concerns, a harvester mowing down crops into pieces is much more severe than instant death.. wat say ??
I think ur right that humans are not meant to be carnivorous ,that is why the term used for humans is omnivores. it dictionary meaning is "feed on both plant and animal matter".I remmber it from 9th/10th class biology class.
my basis is that anyway we (humans) have to kill and survive so how should we differentiate between plants and animal. Value of life is same for both of them so who are we to say that animals are more sacred than plants !
just because u dont like chicken u dont have to make it look logical to not eat chicken. I say taste a tandoori and then tell me abt it ..;-))

I am a veggie and certainly don't like killing animals but what Sumeet.. said

But still I think its better to eat the onions rather than killing th e animals coz its better to 'kill' something who are mute deaf, dumb and have no brains, limbs etc and there are no other alternatives.
But the point of employment etc that ur friend spoke is not a strong one coz.. people can find employment in farming or say dairy business and be productive..
ANyway's its possibly a never ending highly debatable topic.
wok..gimme 2 reasons(decent ones!) why eating plants is justified and not animals!

there is a food chain.. and i completely agree that every living being needs to eat something for survival..
the lion has to kill a dear for survival.. and i dont call that wrong at all.. coz thats how they are made ..
but humans are not made to eat flesh .. they are made to survive on plants, we dont have canines like lions do .. neither we eat flesh raw .. killing for chicken/mutton/pork is all for taste.. and this is just not justified.. u r taking a life after all.. and u shud have good reasons for it..

Humans started as carnivores, some time in evolution they overate, all animals gone, so had to survive on "plants only", got lazy lost the art of hunting. And now when they can captive breed animals, why not go back to the roots??
On the lighter side, I honor the animals fraternity, by accepting and honoring the sacrifice that chicken has made to be eaten by some one up in the chain, food or otherwise. :D
